The HSCRC is a state agency that sets rates for Maryland’s hospitals and publicly discloses information on the costs and financial performance of Maryland hospitals.
Ms. Bayless joins six other commissioners who serve four-year terms and are charged with oversight of the HSCRC.
Ms. Bayless’ appointment marks her first governmental role. In addition to her role at the helm of Anne Arundel Medical Center, she serves on various healthcare industry boards, including those associated with the American Hospital Association, United Way of Central Maryland, CareFirst and Johns Hopkins Homecare Group.
