This makes Dr. Weiser the top elected official of the 11-member board that represents the interests of North Dakota’s hospitals and health systems, according to a Feb. 17 news release. The board helps craft healthcare policy that aligns with the unique needs of North Dakota’s hospitals and represents the state on a national stage.
“Dr. Weiser has the pulse of healthcare in North Dakota and wants the best for North Dakota hospitals, health systems and its people,” Dave Molmen, interim CEO of Altru, said in the release.
Dr. Weiser joined the board in February 2020, with his term set to end in September 2024. He will serve as chair for one year.
