Alameda Health System Board of Trustees VP Valerie D. Lewis receives Most Influential Women in Business award

Oakland, Calif.-based Alameda Health System Board of Trustees Vice President Valerie D. Lewis is the recipient of the San Francisco Business Times‘ Most Influential Women in Business award for the second time, AHS announced Monday.

The distinction recognizes “women who make a significant impact as leaders in public companies, privately held companies and nonprofit institutions,” according to a news release.

Ms. Lewis is being recognized this year for her exemplary legal work as assistant vice president and secretary at Safeway and for her role as vice president of the AHS board of trustees, the system said.

Ms. Lewis will be formally honored in June at an awards cermony in San Francisco.
