AHA’s report, “Hospitals and Care Systems of the Future,” was produced to provide hospitals and other care systems a guide on how to sustain optimal performance in the face of economic and regulatory changes. “Must-do” strategies include aligning hospitals, physicians and other providers across the care continuum; partnering with payors and developing integrated information systems.
The report also includes key organizational core competencies hospitals and other care systems should establish, including creating accountable governance and leadership; internal and external collaboration; and financial stewardship and enterprise risk management.
