“We are concerned that the proposed list lacks the focus and prioritization that could truly drive patient care forward,” the letter stated, adding that AHRQ should “build a concise, focused initial core measure set.”
The AHA proposed only using measures endorsed by the National Quality Forum and urged AHRQ to identify models in previous public reporting programs, such as Medicare hospital quality reporting initiatives.
