5 things to know about Washington County Memorial Hospital CEO Michele Meyer

Michele Meyer, BSN, assumed the CEO role at Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi, Mo., in October 2016. She maintains her role as vice president of operations at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus, Mo.

Here are five things to know about Ms. Meyer.

1. During Ms. Meyer’s tenure, the hospital received accreditation for its sleep laboratory and underwent a survey for Stroke Level III certification. In 2017, the hospital had a positive operating margin for the first time since 2011.

2. She has prior experience serving as CEO of Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis.

3. She is a past board member for the American Heart Association.

4. In 2010, she won the Emergency Nurse Association’s Distinguished Community Service Award.

5. Ms. Meyer holds a master’s degree in health service management from Webster University, St. Louis.
