1. Dallas-based Steward Health Care will close St. Luke’s Medical Center in Phoenix on Nov. 24, affecting 655 jobs.
2. Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver made operational and administrative cuts to its staff. The cuts affected fewer than 10 employees.
3. Williamson (W.Va.) Memorial Hospital is laying off 35 employees amid its financial troubles.
4. Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tenn., eliminated or restructured 30 management positions as part of a management reorganization.
5. Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health is cutting about 200 positions through a combination of voluntary buyouts, layoffs, elimination of vacant positions and management consolidations.
6. Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont, Minn., will cut six positions as it restructures surgical services, effective Jan. 2.
