California hospital moniker changes: 4 names to know

Four California hospitals with past financial problems are getting new names, according to The Press Enterprise.

The name changes are "to reintroduce our gems back to the community," Suzanne Richards, CEO of KPC Health, which owns the four hospitals, said in the report. "We now have a different goal with our hospitals. We want to become very large in the community again. We want to re-establish ourselves as community assets again," she added.

Here are the four new names, according to the report.

1. Western Medical Center Santa Ana (Calif.) will be renamed Orange County Global Medical Center.

2.  Western Medical Center Anaheim (Calif.) will become Anaheim Global Medical Center.

3. Chapman Medical Center in Orange will become Chapman Global Medical Center.

4. Coastal Communities Hospital in Santa Ana will be called South Coast Global Medical Center.
