The poll found 40 percent of Democrats have confidence in the system, while 30 percent of Republicans do.
Gallup has been conducting surveys with the same question since 1993, with Republicans averaging 5 percent more confidence in the system than Democrats until the passage and implementation of the ACA, when the parties flipped.
This year’s confidence rate closely mirrors the historical average of 38 percent, though it remains to be seen how passage of the Better Care Reconciliation would affect those numbers.
