3 things to know about the Baptist Health takeover of Montfort Jones

Jackson, Miss.-based Baptist Health Systems has officially taken over operations of Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko, Miss., according to a WLIN-FM report.

Here are three things to know about the move.

1. The takeover follows several months of negotiations between the Attala County Board of Supervisors and Baptist Health Systems, according to the report.

2. All current hospital staff members will keep their jobs at the hospital.

3. The hospital will now be called Baptist Medical Center-Attala.
