A hospital spokesperson said the cuts were necessary to protect the hospital’s long-term viability, according to the report. Roughly half of the laid-off employees were union members.
Landmark recently signed an asset purchase agreement with Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services.
Landmark’s CMO, Robert S. Crausman, MD, also stepped down recently. He said the hospital “has a secure future” with Prime and that he “accomplished everything I wanted to do there,” according to the report.
