The CEO Forum Group, a media and marketing organization focused on chief executives, shared with Becker’s its 2025 list of the “Top 10 CEOs Transforming Healthcare in America.”

Honorees were chosen following interviews with Robert Reiss — a Forbes contributor and CEO of the CEO Forum Group — and a subsequent criteria-based review by the group’s editorial board. Candidates were evaluated on their ability to drive transformation, which the group defines as a “CEO who creates new value that reinvigorates a company, reinvents an industry or reboots society.”

The 2025 list highlights 10 CEOs, each recognized for leadership in a specific category:

  • Access: Joseph Cacchione, MD, CEO of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health (Philadelphia)
  • Cardiovascular care: Tomislav Mihaljevic, MD, CEO of Cleveland Clinic
  • Nonprofit: Nancy Brown, CEO of the American Heart Association
  • Operational excellence: Marc Miller, president and CEO of Universal Health Services (King of Prussia, Pa.)
