Patients at the new Stone Clinic will be able to see a pediatric urologist, a pediatric nephrologist and a registered renal dietitian in a single visit.

“In children with kidney stones, there can be underlying metabolic, genetic or anatomic causes,” said Nicolette Janzen, MD, a pediatric urologist at Texas Children’s, in a news release. “That is why we recognized the need and importance of opening a specialized clinic for the children affected by this condition.”
