Northwestern Neurologists Offer Women's Neurology Center in Chicago

Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., announced that neurologists from Chicago-based Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation created The Women's Neurology Center.

The center, which opened in September, is designed to better serve female neurology patients, as neurological conditions may be more complicated to treat in women than in men, according to the release. The center also aims to advance research in neurological conditions affecting women, and will offer patients access to research trials on female neurological issues.

The Women's Neurology Center at the Northwestern Faculty Foundation will use an integrated medicine approach to care, and so will also focus on reproductive health and issues related to women's hormones, according to the release.

The neurologists at the center specialize in epilepsy, migraines, stroke, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, headaches and dizziness. The neurologists are professors at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and are attending physicians at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, both in Chicago.
