Northwestern Lake Forest Launches 24/7 Stoke Telemedicine Program

Northwestern Lake Forest (Ill.) Hospital has launched an around-the-clock stroke telemedicine program, according to a Lake Forester report.

When patients arrive in the emergency department, a stroke neurologist from Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago is available via secure Internet conferencing to evaluate the patient alongside the ED physician, according to the report.
