Miami Children’s Approved for Labor, Delivery Unit

Miami Children’s Hospital will be allowed to open a 10-bed labor and delivery unit thanks to a new law, according to a CBS Miami report.

The bill, recently signed into law by Governor Rick Scott, will provide Miami Children’s with an exception to normal licensing requirements so the hospital can care for women with high-risk pregnancies, according to the report.
