Kosair Children’s, Kentucky Children’s Partner to Improve Kentucky Pediatrics

Louisville, Ky.-based Kosair Children’s Hospital and Lexington, Ky.-based Kentucky Children’s Hospital have signed a letter of intent to collaborate on pediatric care in Kentucky.

The stated goal of the partnership is to develop more a more comprehensive network of children’s hospitals to improve access to care through clinical, operational and financial integration, according to a news release.

The two hospitals will meet over the next three months to identify opportunities for collaboration and create a detailed plan for the partnership, which will involve designing quality care for lower costs, adding outreach clinics and expanding pediatric recruitment.
