Doctors Hospital in Georgia Cuts Birthing Services

Columbus, Ga.-based Doctors Hospital will move labor and delivery service to the obstetrics department at The Medical Center, also in Columbus, according to a report from the Ledger-Enquirer.

The decision was an operational one, a result of declining delivery volumes at Doctors Hospital, according to the report.

The move will occur Oct. 2, after which Doctors Hospital labor and delivery caregivers will move to The Medical Center.
