The 30-bed unit accepts patients 65 years old and older and houses full teams of geriatric specialists to create individualized treatment plans for each patient.
Some of the unit’s features are large print signage and documents, specialized protocols for preventing falls, delirium and confusion and prioritization of uninterrupted sleep and low noise levels, according to the report.
