Adventist Hinsdale Awaits Confirmation for Cancer Center

Adventist Hinsdale (Ill.) Hospital will go before the Hinsdale Plan Commission next week to seek approval for a new cancer center in Hinsdale, according to a report from The Doings Hinsdale.

Adventist Hinsdale has encountered resistance to some of the signage and advertisement tactics it had hoped to employ for the cancer center, which has delayed its progress somewhat.

The hospital has modified the controversial signage plans, which violated community zoning laws on advertising, in hopes of receiving approval for the proposed 21-room, two-story cancer center, to which it would move radiation and imaging services currently provided at Adventist La Grange (Ill.) Memorial Hospital.

If approved, the center will be up and running in 18 months, according to the report.
