The freestanding hospital is expected to encompass nearly 400,000 square feet and will include 12 floors and 185 beds. It will replace Kaleida Health’s Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. It is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
The health system has raised $38 million of the $42 million sought in a capital campaign for the new hospital, and it will soon file a formal application for financing with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, according to the report.
