Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center names CEO: 5 takeaways

Yakima (Wash.) Regional Medical and Cardiac Center selected Rich Robinson to serve as CEO, according to a Yakima Herald report.

1. Mr. Robinson’s appointment was finalized Sept. 1.

2. Sunnyside, Wash.-based Regional Health also completed its acquisition of Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center and Toppenish (Wash.) Community Hospital Sept. 1. The hospitals were formerly part of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.

3. Previously, Mr. Robinson served as CEO of Frontier Neurosurgery of Yakima as well as area CEO of Yakima Regional Medical and Toppenish Community Hospital.

4. Over the course of his 30-year career in healthcare, he also served as CEO of Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell and CEO of Doctors Hospital of Manteca (Calif.).

5. He holds an MBA degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
