Incoming CEO of Wyoming’s Powell Valley Healthcare Changes His Mind, Declines Job

Paul Cardwell, the successful applicant for the CEO position of Powell (Wyo.) Valley Healthcare, has notified officials that he no longer plans to move to Powell, leaving the organization back at square one in its CEO search, according to a Powell Tribune report.

Mr. Cardwell signed an agreement with HealthTech Management Services, which provides management to PVH, and assured the board that he was interested in taking the job. He planned to begin in early November. Last week, he told HealthTech officials that moving to Powell would not work for his family.

The interim CEO of PVH said the other CEO candidate has since accepted a position with another hospital, leaving PVH to begin the search process again.
