John Whiteside has been appointed CEO of Merit Health River Oaks and Merit Health Woman’s Hospital in Flowood, Miss., effective Nov. 17.
Mr. Whiteside brings more than 13 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience to the role, according to a Nov. 19 Merit Health news release. He most recently served as CEO of the Riverton (Wyo.) and Lander (Wyo.) campuses of SageWest Healthcare.
Prior to that, he was CEO of Los Alamos (N.M.) Medical Center, where he oversaw service line growth, facility expansion and improved patient and physician satisfaction.
