Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Health System has named Rachel Tignor vice president and chief managed care officer.
Ms. Tignor has served in senior leadership roles of increasing responsibility at the health system over the past five years and most recently served as assistant vice president of enterprise payer relations and contracting, according to a July 7 news release.
In her new role, Ms. Tignor will lead all payer contract negotiations and oversee relationships with health insurance companies and managed care organizations on behalf of the system’s facilities and providers. She will also be responsible for fee-for-service and value-based contracting strategies and will oversee economic credentialing and payer enrollment across the system.
She began her new role July 5.
