Women & Infants Hospital president, COO resigns

Rick Majzun, former president and COO of Providence, R.I.-based Women & Infants Hospital, resigned April 8, according to a Providence Journal report.

Mr. Majzun resigned to pursue other job opportunities, a statement from Providence-based Care New England obtained by Providence Journal reads. Women & Infants Hospital is a part of Care New England.

Mr. Majzun became president and COO of Women & Infants Hospital in July 2018. He was previously vice president of operations at St. Louis Children’s Hospital as well as vice president of the women and infants service at St. Louis-based Barnes Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Matt Quin, RN, senior vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Women & Infants, will take over as interim COO.
