Wisconsin hospital CEO resigns

Dave Smith has resigned as CEO of Lancaster, Wis.-based Grant Regional Health Center, effective at the end of December.

Mr. Smith is leaving to “pursue a new opportunity closer to his family,” Tom Gildersleeve, the hospital’s board chair, said in a Dec. 12 news release. 

Over the five years he helmed the hospital, Mr. Smith led cultural transformation and achieved higher patient satisfaction scores, improved financial stability and was behind the addition of many new providers and services, according to the news release. 

Tami Chambers, the hospital’s chief clinical officer, has been named interim CEO.
