William Alvin Appointed President, CEO of Detroit’s Health Alliance Plan

William Alvin has been appointed president and CEO of Health Alliance Plan and Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Mich., according to a HAP news release.

Mr. Alvin will join HAP, the insurance branch of Henry Ford Health System, on March 9. He has served as vice president of strategy development for Detroit Medical Center since 2007. In addition, he was CEO of Care Choices Health System and had previously worked in administrative positions for HAP.

"Through his 30-year career, he has demonstrated the ability to provide excellent leadership and strategic direction and build strong teams," said Nancy Schlichting, president and CEO of Henry Ford Health System, according to the news release.
