White Plains Hospital gets new CFO: 5 things to know

Joseph J. Guarracino has been named senior vice president and CFO of White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital, effective Jan. 11.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Guarracino.

1. He has more than 25 years of experience in managing and overseeing the financial operations of healthcare institutions.

2. He joins White Plains Hospital from the Brooklyn (N.Y.) Hospital Center, where he served as senior vice president and CFO for the past eight years.

3. Prior to the Brooklyn Hospital Center, he was CFO of three hospitals in Putnam and Dutchess counties, New York, that were part of the LaGrangeville, N.Y.-based Health Quest.

4. Mr. Guarracino has also held senior level positions at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York and St. Barnabas Community Health Plan.

5. In his new role, Mr. Guarracino will oversee all financial operations of White Plains Hospital and its 12 satellite facilities, including two multispeciality centers in Armonk, N.Y., and New Rochelle, N.Y.
