Western Plains Medical Complex names Julie McCormack interim CEO: 4 takeaways

Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health appointed Julie McCormack interim CEO of Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City, Kan., according to a Dodge Globe report.

1. Most recently, Ms. McCormack served as COO at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., another LifePoint facility.

2. Prior to Havasu Regional, she served in a number of leadership roles, including as CEO of Blackwell (Okla.) Regional Hospital.

3. She earned a master’s degree in business administration from Southern Nazarene University in Tulsa, Okla.

4. Ms. McCormack replaces Michael Burroughs, who went on a leave of absence. The reason for his absence was not disclosed.
