Danbury, Conn.-based Western Connecticut Health Network, a three-hospital system, named Jeffrey M. Nicastro, MD, network chair of surgery.

1. Dr. Nicastro most recently worked at New York City-based Northwell Health, where he served in several leadership roles, including as vice president of clinical services for the surgery service line.

2. He has also served in a supervisory role across the three general surgery residencies at Northwell.

3. Additionally, he was an associate professor of surgery for the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
