Mr. Baumgardner takes over the role formerly held by Dennis Taylor, who retired in May after 30 years with WFH’s parent company, Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America.
WFH marks Mr. Baumgardner’s third HCA hospital as an executive. Since November 2008, Mr. Baumgardner served as CEO of Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City, Fla., and prior to that, he was COO of Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, Fla., according to the report.
