Wellstar health system makes former Cleveland Clinic exec its chief diversity officer

Marietta, Ga.-based Wellstar Health System appointed Le Joyce Naylor senior vice president and chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer. Her role became effective Aug. 2, according to a  Sept. 27 news release shared with Becker’s.

Ms. Naylor most recently served as the executive director of diversity and inclusion at the Cleveland Clinic. 

“Wellstar is committed to sustaining a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment that honors and values the voice of each patient and team member,” said Candice Saunders, Wellstar’s president and CEO. “Le Joyce will work with leaders across our organization to advance Wellstar’s diversity, equity, and inclusion and cultural competence programs to positively impact patients, team members and the communities we serve — both today and into the future.”
