WellSpan names new hospital president

York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health has appointed Orie Chambers as vice president for the health system and president of WellSpan Ephrata (Pa.) Community Hospital, effective Nov. 30.

In this role, Mr. Chambers will oversee operations at the 141-bed community hospital and hospital-based services throughout the region, according to a Dec. 8 health system news release. His responsibilities include aligning local services with systemwide initiatives for safety, quality, care management, and patient experience.

Mr. Chambers had served in the role on an interim basis for the past eight months. He joined the hospital in 2011 as clinical director for emergency and behavioral health services and was named vice president and chief nursing officer in 2021.

He now reports to James Stuccio, senior vice president of WellSpan’s east region.
