York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health has promoted two finance team leaders to senior vice president roles.
Donna Fortson was named senior vice president and chief revenue officer, and Andrew Walker was named senior vice president of finance and treasury, according to a June 3 WellSpan news release shared with Becker’s.
Ms. Fortson joined WellSpan in 2021 and previously served as vice president of revenue cycle, according to the release. In that role, she worked closely with clinical teams and leaders to maximize the revenue cycle. Her new role expands her responsibilities to include overseeing the system’s reimbursement strategy.
Mr. Walker also joined the system in 2021 and most recently served as vice president of accounting and financial reporting. He led efforts to restructure the system’s treasury and financial systems to streamline its cash and investment portfolio. He also led WellSpan’s debt strategy. In his new role, he will assume increased treasury responsibilities.
“Both Donna and Andrew are collaborative leaders within our organization that exemplify WellSpan’s working-as-one mission to deliver the very best for our patients and the communities we serve,” WellSpan’s executive vice president and CFO Laura Buczkowski said in the release. “Their proven track records in generating process improvements and efficiencies drive the results that help WellSpan weather the significant headwinds facing the industry right now.”
Both promotions were effective May 18.
