WellSpan Health names John Porter COO

York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health has appointed John M. Porter Jr. as system executive vice president and COO.

In addition to his new role, Mr. Porter will continue to serve in his current position as president of WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital until a successor is named.

Mr. Porter has more than 30 years of experience in hospital and health system management. He has served as president and CEO of Ephrata Community Hospital since 1985 and senior vice president of WellSpan Health since the two became affiliated in 2013.
