WellSpan Health appoints CEO: 4 things to know

Roxanna L. Gapstur has been named the president and CEO of York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health, effective Jan. 2, according to the York Daily Record.

Here are four things to know:

  1. Ms. Gapstur will succeed Kevin Mosser, MD, who will retire Jan. 1.
  2. She currently serves as president of St. Louis Park, Minn.-based Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital and senior vice president of Bloomington, Minn.-based HealthPartners.
  3. Ms. Gapstur holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Paul, Minn.-based St. Catherine University and a doctorate in nursing research from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.
  4. She previously served as president and board chair of the Minnesota Organization of Leaders in Nursing.
