Elise Cutter plans to step down as CEO of Anacortes, Wash.-based Island Health after five years in the role.
Ms. Cutter has been with Island Health for more than 20 years, according to a Sept. 10 news release from the public hospital district, which includes an acute care hospital and primary care clinics.
During her tenure, Ms. Cutter led the organization through primary and specialty service expansions, facility and technology upgrades and rural healthcare advocacy work.
She will remain in place until an interim CEO is onboarded.
