Cathleen Wheatley, DNP, RN, will serve as president of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, and Alisa L. Starbuck, DNP, will become president of Brenner Children’s Hospital, also in Winston-Salem.
Dr. Wheatley is Wake Forest Baptist Health’s senior vice president and system chief nurse executive. She will expand her responsibilities to take on the duties of president at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, the health system’s flagship facility. She joined Wake Forest Baptist in September 2014.
Dr. Starbuck is currently the health system’s vice president of women’s and children’s health services. She will continue in this role in addition to taking on the president role at Brenner Children’s Hospital. She has worked at Wake Forest Baptist since 1986, when she joined as a neonatal intensive care nurse.
