VUMC names associate chief medical officer for 2 regions

Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center has named Sahar Takkouche, MD, associate chief medical officer of its Wilson and Sumner County regions.

Dr. Takkouche is an assistant professor of medicine in the division of diabetes, endocrinology and metabolism at Vanderbilt. As associate CMO, she will report to Rick Wight, MD, chief medical officer and senior vice president for clinical affairs at VUMC, according to a Sept. 12 news release. 

She will lead efforts to develop collaborative relationships with the chief of medical staff at several regional Vanderbilt hospitals, senior leaders across VUMC and community physicians “to ensure the smooth integration of services and the alignment of goals between the organization and regional practices.”
