Community Health Reassigns CEO of Hospital in Virginia

David Fikse is leaving his post as CEO of Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Va., for an executive position at Community Health Systems, the hospital’s parent, according to a report by the Progress-Index.

Mr. Fikse will leave the 408-bed hospital to become vice president for operations at Division II at Community Health, a for-profit company that owns,
 operates or leases 122 hospitals in 29 states.

A Southside Regional spokeswoman said no replacement had been announced yet.
