VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital in Virginia has named Abby Denby, DNP, RN, chief nursing officer.
Ms. Denby will oversee the strategic and operational aspects of patient care and nursing at the hospital, including education, research and community outreach, according to a June 24 news release.
Ms. Denby began her nursing career at Richmond, Va.-based VCU Medical Center and later spent more than 20 years at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Va., serving in various leadership roles. She most recently served as chief clinical officer at Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville.
