Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie, N.C., appointed Elaine Griffiths, MSN, RN, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer, according to a Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald report.

1. Ms. Griffiths most recently served as director of patient care services at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.

2. She was previously vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer at Chesapeake (Va.) Regional Healthcare.

3. She is a professional surveyor/consultant for the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program.

4. Ms. Griffiths is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and American Nurses Association.

5. She succeeds Judy Bruno, BSN, RN, who became president of the hospital.
