Here are five things to know:
1. Most recently, Mr. Adcock served as COO of the six-hospital system.
2. He previously served as executive vice president and chief innovation officer for Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health.
3. He also has prior experience serving as director of engineering at GE Medical Systems and as co-owner and vice president of research and development at Micro Medical Systems.
4. He takes over from Patrick Soon-Shiong, MD, who was serving as interim CEO of Verity Health.
5. Dr. Soon-Shiong will continue to serve on Verity Health’s board and is the founder and CEO of NantWorks, which acquired a majority stake in Integrity Healthcare last year. Integrity Healthcare manages Verity Health.
