James Coffin, PhD, has been appointed president and CEO of Boston-based Velsera, a global bioinformatics company, effective Feb. 1.
Dr. Coffin brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in life sciences and healthcare technology, including roles at IBM Life Sciences, Dell Healthcare and Life Sciences, and Source Medical, according to a Jan. 20 news release.
In 2025, Velsera launched a global data network to provide clinicogenomic data to pharmaceutical clients in support of drug discovery.
