VCU Medical Center taps chief medical officer

Heather Masters, MD, has been named chief medical officer of VCU Medical Center in Richmond, Va. 

Dr. Masters has served in several leadership roles at VCU Health, most recently as interim CMO of VCU Medical Center, the health system’s flagship campus.

As CMO, she will oversee clinical operations and lead efforts to improve care quality. Additionally, Dr. Masters has been named associate dean for clinical activities at VCU School of Medicine. 

VCU Medical Center is a Level 1 trauma center.
