LaGrangeville, N.Y.-based Health Quest, Vassar Brothers’ parent, confirmed the news to the Daily Freeman. Health system officials did not specify if Ms. McMackin resigned or was fired. Health Quest COO Kerry Eaton will take over as acting president of the hospital.

Ms. McMackin joined the hospital in April 2014 as vice president of operations. She was previously vice president of operations and business development at Winfield, Ill.-based Central DuPage Health. She has 35-plus healthcare administration experience.

John Nelson, Health Quest’s spokesman, told the Daily Freeman that the company will soon begin a nationwide search for Ms. McMackin’s successor.

“We are grateful for her contribution and wish her well in her future endeavors,” said Mr. Nelson in a statement, Daily Freeman reported.
