Brian Rothman, MD, has been named vice president and executive medical director of Vanderbilt University Medical Center's department of finance.
In this role, Dr. Rothman will provide leadership in revenue cycle, managed care contracting, credentialing, revenue and reimbursement, as well as other clinician-facing finance department initiatives, according to a May 2 news release from Nashville, Tenn.-based VUMC.
Dr. Rothman's new role begins July 1, according to the release. He currently serves as medical director for revenue cycle as well as a professor of anesthesiology, biomedical informatics and surgery.
