Albert “AJ” Hammond has been named vice president of external affairs and government relations at Vandalia Health in Charleston, W.Va.
Mr. Hammond joined Vandalia in 2024, and has represented the system in front of state and federal policymakers, pushing for policies and legislation to improve care access, support healthcare providers and increase long-term sustainability across state hospitals, according to a June 22 news release shared with Becker’s.
He also spent more than a decade working to advance community and economic development initiatives to improve West Virginians’ quality of life.
