Michael Patriarca has been appointed executive vice president and chief business affairs and strategy officer for UTHealth Houston.
The newly created role reflects the university’s continued growth and the expanding scope of its academic, research, clinical and administrative operations, according to an April 28 news release.
Mr. Patriarca will help lead a long-range strategic planning process and oversee areas including financial stewardship, operations, IT, data and analytics, and infrastructure planning.
He most recently served as vice president and chief business officer for New Orleans-based Tulane Medicine.
